Hooper's Story...
Meet Hooper, a BIG LOVE BUG who loves people and other dogs. This is a high energy, highly active boy who would love to be a hiking, running, walking buddy, and is definitely a dog-aprk-dog! We rescued Hooper, or he rescued himself, when he jumped into our van after we spotted him wandering on Hooper Street in South Central LA. From day one, this big guy was 100% friendly. If you are looking for a small Great Dane, or a BIG lap dog, Hooper is your guy. Please call 818-407-4145 or e-mail Lori@modernica.net to set up a time to meet Hooper who lives at a Doggie Day care called Waggville.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hooper, a Los Angeles Great Dane/Akita dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane/Akita for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Great Dane/Akita dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane/Akita breeders who help with Great Dane/Akita rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
