MAX's Story...
Max is an 11 month old dane / lab mix weighing in at over 75 lbs and about 26 inches tall. Max loves long walks and being petted / rubbed. He goes into a trance when you rub his head. Max has inherited a love of water from his lab ancestors and also loves to chase balls. Like most danes, he loves to be with his people and especially loves to snuggle in bed! Max is housetrained and good on leash. He plays well with the other pups in the foster home but is not good with cats. He would do great in an active home. He loves running, jogging, water and balls. Max is neutered and up to date on his shots. He's ready for an active home to call his own!
Max is a courtesy listing.
Please contact your local coordinator for more information on him.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

MAX, a York Great Dane/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane/Labrador Retriever for sale in York, or seeking a Great Dane/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Great Dane/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in York paves the way for another one to be saved.
