Dakota's Story...
Meet Dakota he's only 8 months old and quite a big boy for his breed and age. Dakota as all retrievers are, is active and needs lots of attention and room to run. Dakota would make a great family addition to an active family. He's not a couch potato he loves to play ball, go for nice walks and have lots of fun. Dakota needs obedience training but is extremely receptive to learning.

Act quickly to adopt Dakota. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dakota, a West Warwick Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in West Warwick, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in West Warwick.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Warwick already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Warwick breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Warwick paves the way for another one to be saved.
