McKinnley's Story...
This handsome Great Pyrenees is McKinnley. McKinnley was found as a stray but he has all of the manners of a house dog that you could want. We believe that he is 2 years old. He is house trained, walks well on a leash and does not chew. McKinnley has gotten along great with his 2 doggie foster siblings and his 9 month old human foster sibling. He is an incredibly laid back dog who just wants lay on the floor near you. McKinnley is very sweet and would be an excellent addition to any family looking for a big, calm, furry dog.

As HAHS now has several adoption locations, please contact Rachel at 913.638.8637 or lashana@juno.com for find out when and where you can meet McKINNLEY!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

McKinnley, a Overland Park Great Pyrenees dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Pyrenees for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Great Pyrenees dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Pyrenees breeders who help with Great Pyrenees rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
