June's Story...

June needs a foster home!

June was running loose on the streets of Chicago and fortunately Animal Care and Control picked her up before she was injured. After several attempts were made to contact June's owner, she became city property. We couldn't resist her soulful hound dog eyes and had to take her home with us!

Our little Junebug gal is the sweetest dog ever. She LOVES attention and just can't get enough pets and scratches. June likes going on walks, but especially loves treeing squirrels -- true to her coonhound nature, she is an avid vermin hunter and may or may not be good with cats. She likes other dogs and she and Ingrid are best buddies.

If you're like us and can't get enough of this beautiful Southern belle, contact us today to meet her!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

June, a Chicago Redbone Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Redbone Coonhound for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Redbone Coonhound dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Redbone Coonhound breeders who help with Redbone Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
