Ethel's Story...
I’m Ethel, sister of Lulu. I’m a dilute calico with the prettiest markings and the most adorable purr-sonality. I love new people and just can't wait to get to know them. Though I may be a bit more shy than Lulu at first – she’s an “in your face” kind of feline – I’m certainly just as friendly and beautiful.

Both Lulu and I came from a rural shelter to Friends of Homeless Animals. It’s exciting here at the Friends communal cattery, as we have other feline friends to play with. Staff and volunteers come into our sunroom to cuddle with us and bring us toys. I love snuggling up to my favorite people. I also like it when they bring us toys, like those crazy feather toys at the end of a stick. Let me at ‘em! I’m a very athletic young lady, and cute as cute can be! I’m ready to go to a forever home. If you’re looking to adopt two cats to keep each other company, Lulu and I make an excellent, active yet snuggle-ready pair.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ethel, a Aldie Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
