Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello there! My name is Wellington and I am a labrador mix. I am none too sure how I got my name but a volunteer here said that it is likely because I reminded someone of that famous, sweet, cuddly teddy bear named Wellington. I can’t comment on that of course since I am far too modest!
I am a friendly, happy, affectionate dog. I like people and try to make people like me. I get along with other well mannered dogs. I am not sure about living with cats. However, I will likely be able to live happily with them as long as they are OK living with a dog. I am about 7 years mature with a relatively laid-back attitude about most things.
I was found as a stray so not much is known about my history but I have obviously had some training. I “sit” very nicely, I know what you mean when you say “down” and I walk well on a leash. Speaking of leashes, I love going for a walk with my humans. Going on other family outings would be great too. I, ahem, need to lose just a couple of lbs but with exercise, good food and only a few treats that will not be difficult. You will find I will be an enthusiastic participant in the exercise part of the weight loss program but I may try to plead for more treats than is good for me!
I love having visitors so if you are at MaxFund be sure to stop by and visit with me. Maybe you could take me for a walk? That would be good for my figure and it would also help us get to know each other better!
