Jess's Story...
Jess was found as a stray in the town of Meadow Lake, but no one has come to claim her, so she is now available for adoption. She's approximately 6 months old and is a blue heeler cross. Very friendly and playful and gets along with other puppies/dogs that we've had her with at the shelter. She walks fairly well on leash.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jess, a Meadow Lake Australian Cattle Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Meadow Lake, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog puppy from a breeder in Meadow Lake.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meadow Lake already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meadow Lake breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meadow Lake paves the way for another one to be saved.
