Hi everyone! My name is Gizelle (or Gizelly Belly as my goofy foster momma calls me). She also tells me I'm healthy and spry and adorable and loving and a bunch of other words I don't completely understand, but I know they're all good things that I can't wait to show my future furever family!
I am a quiet, calm, snuggly puppy I do know that!! I never bark (except sometimes at those rotten squirrels in the tree teasing me), but other than that I've loved every adult, child, and furry creature I've ever met!!
I also really love water!! Maybe its because I was found 8 years ago wandering down the bayou behind the lady's house who rescued me while I was just looking for someone to give my loyalty and devotion to. I'm still looking for a furever family so I'm trying real hard not to get discouraged. My foster moms says that even though I've been in foster care for so long now, if I am patient the perfect family will come along and love me for everything I have to offer no matter what! Please don't be scared away by my age, 8 years is just more years I've had to mature into a great well behaved companion :). My mature age also means that I am low-key dog who loves naps, so I'm perfect even for a low-activity family!
If you give me a chance I'll show you how great I am!! So will you be my furever family, pretty please?

It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it.
NOTE: In our bios, we provide information based on our volunteer's experience with a particular dog; such as temperament, training, and ability to get along with others.
AARF is a 501(c)3 Non Profit, all breed, no kill organization. Our group is always in need of donations in order to continue to give the needed medical care to our rescues. Adoption fees do not begin to cover all of the medical costs. Any donation, no matter how small is a big help and is greatly appreciated. Please help us to continue to help them. Thank you.
