Angel's Story...
Angel was adopted from a rescue group who stated she had been neglected as a pup and starved. by a breeder. She is supposedly a full blooded Siberian Husky but she is not as muscular nor does she have the thick coat of a Siberian. It is much lighter so we are guessing some type of terrier mix , such as a fox . . the adopter thought these were low maintenance dogs and now that Angel is 4 months old , it is too much for her. She has a one year old and an older dog who does not want to play with poor Angel. So she was kept crated a lot. She also has not learned to not jump up and greet people, so that was an issue with a toddler.
This dog is a gem. Very sweet. Leash trained, crate trained, house broken.and even good iwth a pet rabbit in the home.Currenlty in her foster home she is so good she even is going to work with foster mom and behaving wonderfully. She is getting a brisk walk and play timewith frisbee twice a day and is doing great with that. plus she is playing and getting some fun time with foster dog in the home. She is submissive and would not be an alpha dog.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lincolnton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lincolnton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Husky/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lincolnton paves the way for another one to be saved.
