My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Zara! This 7 month old labbie girl is super cute, super sweet, and ready for a forever home of her own! We don't know too much about her yet because she is the newest to our program, so keep checking back for updates on this awesome girl!

UPDATE FROM THE FOSTER FAMILY: Here are some pictures of Zara or Lady Zaza for those who know her ;-) She loves to run and play on open fields chasing a soccer ball. She has already learned the SIT and DOWN commands, although it is not consistent yet. She follows us around everywhere we go. You can tell she is just so happy to be in a home. She loves bananas and is starting to like carrots for snacks too. She looks up to Toby as a big brother and loves to walk side by side with him. She has no problem going into the crate, although she cried quite a bit this morning after we put her back in at 5 AM after taking her outside for a quick potty. I guess she was just ready to start her day, but we weren't ;-) We are enjoying going through training all over again. It is so rewarding, especially considering where she was just a week ago.

UPDATE FROM THE FOSTER FAMILY: We just got back from the lake with the dogs and had a great time. Zara was the first one in the water. There was no holding her back ;-) She jumped right off the sea wall into the lake. She learned a lot from the other 2 dogs and is obviously a lab. She is making great progress with her training. She has learned to STAY as long as 30 seconds with me walking away 25 feet easily until I release her. She is a quick learner. I can't believe everything she has learned in just a week (sit, down, stay, come, ring the bell to go potty, sleep in a crate, etc.). She now sits politely when being fed and waits until we tell her it is ok to start eating. That's a major improvement from day 1 when she would jump and attack the food as we tried to fill up her bowl. LOL
