Angel's Story...
I'm Angel and I'm a Military Macaw. I love to play rough and dance around. I am a young macaw, only 7 years old. I had previous owners who felt the need to hit me with their hands or a stick. My friends at Olive Branch Parrot Rescue have been working with me and I love to be scratched on the head. I'm still a little nervous with new people and I ask that only male adopters with macaw experience apply for me. My adoption fee is $550 which includes my extra large cage.

Please email us at obparrotrescue@yahoo.com for an adoption application and adoption fee. Our adoption procedure is located on our website under the adoption & fee info tab.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Angel, a Redlands Macaw was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Macaw for sale in Redlands, or seeking a Macaw from a breeder in Redlands.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Redlands already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Redlands breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Macaw breeders who help with Macaw rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Redlands paves the way for another one to be saved.
