Freeway's Story...
Okay I am a a rescuer not a dog expert... I have never heard of a wirehaired pointing griffon, ever. I tell everyone when they ask what his breed is :part dog with a mohawk & part traveling salesman. I met this puppy (who weighs 59lbs) while I was driving down the freeway minding my own business, this big horse of a puppy goes running down the freeway in the middle lane, in his defense he was traveling with the traffic, then people started honking at him & he started zig zagging at which point so did I so people wouldn't run him over. I finally ditched the car & gave chase & with the help of a NOT SO HAPPY police officer who blocked the rest of the lanes of the freeway. I'm still expecting a ticket for that. Anyway when we got him in the car we realized he had an imbedded rope in his neck & some older severe injuries. I posted ads for him everywhere but no one ever came to claim him. I think his trip down the freeway was to try to get as far away from whatever circumstances he came from. The very wonderful thing about him is he is no worse for the wear, he is still a happy confident loving little (little???) puppy. In all honesty I have to say if we didn't have 5 senior, 2 dying, & 4 special needs little tiny dogs here, I would probably add him to my own pack. I don't care what breed you call him, the vet said the griffon thing, just please be the one who calls him their baby!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Freeway, a Shoreline Wirehaired Pointing Griffon dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Wirehaired Pointing Griffon for sale in Shoreline, or seeking a Wirehaired Pointing Griffon dog from a breeder in Shoreline.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Shoreline already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Shoreline breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Wirehaired Pointing Griffon breeders who help with Wirehaired Pointing Griffon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Shoreline paves the way for another one to be saved.
