PURRS ABOUND SIAMESE RESCUE OF MICHIGAN,INC.
8/13/12 Muffy is a petite seal point Himalayan who loves to play and enjoys as much attention as she can get. Her long fur makes her look like a little doll wearing a long flowing dress when she sits still. While she is beautiful with her long, flowing hair, SHE much prefers it when she has a short lion cut...after all, did anyone ask her if she wanted to be a Himi?? We aren't quite sure of Muffy's age as her teeth indicate that she's older but her personality is definitely that of a younger adult.
Muffy isn't bothered by either large or small dogs. She should also be okay in a home with perhaps one or two other cats as long as she gets plenty of human time. We believe that Muffy would thrive with a family who has a stay-at-home Mom or perhaps a daughter who would treat her like a little Princess.
Muffy, aka Scruffy Muffy, does come with a bit of baggage. She has a history of urinary tract infections and crystals in her urine. However, if she eats a prescription diet specifically for urinary tract issues, she seems to be problem free. On occasion, she also has issues with missing her litter box but, when she does, she usually targets the pads under the litter. Once in a great while, she'll miss and use a piece of material or a rug. We feel that much of this behavior is due to her living in a multiple cat environment. While we can't guarantee that she won't have litter issues in a new home, we are very hopeful that her good litter habits will return in a home with less cats.
Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information about our princess kitty.

Rescue Group Info...
Purrs Abound Siamese Rescue of Michigan, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Purrs Abound was founded in March 2001 out of a love for Siamese cats and a desire to rescue Siamese cats from shelters and animal control facilities. In addition, Siamese cats do poorly in shelter environments because of their need for close human interaction. These frightened cats and kittens are placed into loving foster homes where we can give them time to begin their rehabilitation and ready themselves for their new forever homes.
Purrs Abound does not have a facility at this time. All of our Purr Guests live normal lives with foster families located throughout Michigan and into North Western Ohio. We feel that this is a better environment for these people-oriented cats and also allows us to evaluate their personalities under normal living conditions. One day, however, we do hope to obtain funds that would allow us to have a temporary facility where cats could live in a home-like environment while awaiting a foster home. If you would like to help us attain that goal, please feel free to send donations to our Post Office Box noting on the check that they are for our "Facility Fund."
Adoption Applications can submitted on line at our web site www.purrssiameserescue.org or you can print one to mail in.
Once approved to adopt we will arrange for you to meet cat or kitten in their foster home. We are a foster based rescue so all our cats and kittens are in foster homes through out Michigan and Ohio.
Adoption fees include age appropriate vaccines, sterilization, FeLV/FIV testing, routine physical examination and more indepth testing and examinations as needed to diagnose other health conditions.
The main focus of Purrs Abound Siamese Rescue is the greater Detroit metropolitan area, spreading North to Flint, Michigan and West to Ann Arbor. When foster space permits, we are more than happy to help Siamese in the outskirts of Michigan. Individuals from any area or state are welcome to contact us as long as they are willing to visit the cat(s) of interest in their foster home to finalize an adoption. We will NOT ship cats via air freight.
