Buddy's Story...
Buddy is an eight-year-old, neutered male Schnauzer mix who weights about nine pounds. This happy-go-lucky boy came to us looking like he just walked out of a concentration camp he was so thin. With ear infections in both ears and infections in his eyes, he needed a quick trip to a veterinarian. He's on the mend now, and we hope he starts gaining weight soon. His former family seemed to love Buddy. They sent along a letter explaining how much Buddy likes to "sleep in" on weekend mornings and how much he also loves his dog bed (when not in bed with his family). They gave him a funny, "punk" haircut for the summer and put on a red bandana before they took him to the shelter. Thankfully, he's safe with us. Now, all he needs is someone who will fall in love with him forever.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buddy, a Loudonville Schnauzer (Miniature)/Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Miniature)/Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Loudonville, or seeking a Schnauzer (Miniature)/Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Loudonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Loudonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Loudonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Miniature)/Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Miniature)/Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Loudonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
