My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Poor Portia! Her "mommy" passed and the family just tossed her out. She was an indoor cat who had to learn to survive the outdoors. She is a front paw declawed, 3 year old baby Somehow she managed to keep herself safe for 4 months before a kind neighbor in the apt. complex, who was feeding her, managed to catch her as she no longer trusted people. We have tested her and she will do well with a laid back non alpha cat. She is soooo loving, and wants attention. She will sit on your lap and purr from dawn to dusk. She is combo tested negative, spayed, completely vetted, up to date on her shots, microchipped and ready for her forever home.

Her fee is $200.00 (no negotiating) towards past vet fees. If you are interested in adopting please email us at ccrescue614@yahoo.com and we will send you an application to fill out.

We require an adoption application and approval before we set an appointment to meet the cats they are in private homes for foster care. This is policy and no exception will be made.

We NEVER ship cats and declawing is not an option. We are an all volunteer organization so please keep in mind when you contact us emails are much quicker, phone calls we so our best to get back to you but it will take a bit longer.

As a policy for our rescue we do NOT adopt cats/kittens for gifts. We have to screen the adopter how will be owning the cat. Not a person who is thinking to give as a gift. So if you are looking to adopt for a family member LIVING IN THE SAME HOME AS YOU, then you can apply but if not living in your home we do not adopt. We make no exception to this policy for those wanting to adopt a cat/kitten to give as a gift. If you are interested and want to pay for the adoption fee for the person adopting that is a good way to help them adopt a cat/kitten and we then screen them to adopt and you pay for the adoption fee. This is a good option and has been done before. We have all our policies to protect our cats and appreciate you thinking of a rescue kitty to adopt but not as a gift.
