Tiny's Story...
UPDATE 10/1/2010: TINY HAS LOST 2 lbs and is down to 6 lbs! Way to go Tiny, looking good!

LIttle fat Tiny is double the weight she should be, at 8 lbs now. This has really taken it's toll on her joints and hips and knees.
Tiny was on the euthanasia list at the local humane society, as she was morbidly obese and they knew the time and commitment it takes to get that much weight off a little dog who loves to eat.
Full bloodwork was run to ensure there was nothign medical, which there isn't, she just loves to eat. Tiny has lost 10 ozs since coming to Finding Fido, it's been slow on the weight loss front, but she is losing this the healthy way, by just eating less food. She does enjoy the occassional baby carrots and green bean, to keep her crunching and not thinking about where that next meal is.

She is housebroken, sweet and gentle., She enjoys napping in the dog beds on the floor and gets along great with the small, gentle older dogs in the foster home. She would not tolerate kids or bigger or young dogs.
Tiny is probably about 8 years old.

ADOPTION DONATION ON TINY IS 200.00

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tiny, a Phoenix Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
