found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already spayed, purebred, a special needs pet, in need of an experienced adopter, and up to date with shots.
We are always willing to consider placing a dog out of state, but applicants are asked to apply to and work with us through their local IGCA Representative.
Meet Pepper, a very special, true Rescue Dog. Pepper's age is estimated to be nine years old. We don't know what her life was like before she came to IGCA Rescue but based on her physical condition we know she was used as a breeding female for many years and that she was confined in a small, wire enclosure and fed inadequately. When she first arrived, she was mal-nourished, her teeth & gums were infected and she needed to be spayed. Typically, a dog coming from the conditions she endured would have psychological and emotional issues which generally are fear and distrust of humans, lack of social skills, etc. Pepper was named by her foster care givers because of her spirit. She loves everyone and everything with a child-like zest as she discovers the world for the first time.
For Pepper, every experience was new from learning what a cat is to what "outside means". Every blade of grass, every walk, every person she meets is a joy to Pepper. She is our ambassador of good will for Rescue. She will be a blessing to the family who is lucky enough to call her their own. Even though Pepper does not care, on her behalf, we would like to set some guidelines for applicants so that she can enjoy the rest of her life doing what she does best, LOVE. She loves to go for walks, lay in the sunshine and does like to go new places and meet new people. She does like to go potty outside but is also learning to use a potty pad. In the evening when it is dark, Pepper does like to be accompanied outside so that she is not alone. Pepper does need to be fed a non-kibble, "grain-free diet". Since she was deprived of human companionship during the first half of her life we would dearly hope that for her second half she can have people who either work from home or are retired so that they have extra time to spoil her just a little.
If you would like to be part of this pup's future, please fill out an IGCA Rescue Adoption Application and send to your local area Representative or inquire via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Pepper is up-to-date with routine shots and spayed/neutered.
