QUIGLY's Story...
PLEASE READ THIS PROFILE AND THE REQUESTED CRITERIA BEFORE CALLING OR SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION. THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION AND CONSIDERATION

MEET MR. QUIGLEY....the "Quigmeister" for short....is nothing short of being an ideal companion. This 3-4 yr old, tan, 11 lbs Shih Tzu has sparkling white teeth...but his demeanor tells us he is an adult pup. He has a stellar temperament...he gets along with women, men and children of all ages (none under 5 yrs old, please). He's a very mellow and easy-going dog -- perfect for someone that likes to hang out and relax. Ideal homes would potentially be a single person, a young couple, or a mature household, where he will get oodles and oodles of attention. He likes to sleep in and will easily adapt to your schedule. He's NOT the kind of dog that will run up to you without knowing you, but is definitely a curious little one - will smell and check out everything and everyone going by. He's good with other animals but is not very interactive - he could definitely be your one and only or share with another dog. He can sleep anywhere near you, and he loves to cuddle unless it's hot, then he prefers the cold floor. His favorite spot is the bathroom bathmat!! He's good with children, and loves to play with humans -- it's funny to see him get wild and crazy when you play with him. He has a very pronounced underbite, which is the cutest thing and if you talk to him, he looks at you with odd curiosity. Quigly does not know commands, so he could definitely benefit from training -- but does seem to be potty trained (although we never guarantee!) He loves going on walks, and is great on a leash....definitely not much of a runner. He does not jump, but wouldn't mind being told it's okay for him to come up and join you and sit in your lap. All in all, Quigly is a sweetheart and very easy-going little man who anyone would be lucky to have as a new family member.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

QUIGLY, a Los Angeles Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
