Lilly's Story...
Wanna play!!! My name is Lilly and I am ready to be your new best friend. I am a petite 1 year old Border Collie mix, a true little lady. Even though I am not a purebred I sure act 100% Border Collie! I love to run and play, I am super smart and eager to please, I have got the herder in me so cats beware! I am housebroken and crate trained already but this playful pup could use a little more obedience training. I would love to find an active family with bigger children, maybe another dog to play with too. A place where my mind and body can stay busy! 1 year old-45lbs. My adoption fee is $150 and includes adoption supplies.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lilly, a Portland Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Portland, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
