Buddy's Story...
Buddy" is a 2 1/2 to 3 year old male Boxer that is neutered and up-to-date on all of his vaccinations. Buddy came to us about a week ago from an individual who could no longer keep him. Buddy has a whole lot of energy and loves to take walks. Though Buddy may seem nervous, he also has a dominant side. We think that Buddy's new owner should definitely have previous dog experience or previous experience with the breed. He needs someone who will spend a lot of time working with him and most of all, loving him. Buddy doesn't seem to mind other dogs, but we are unsure of how he is with cats. We also think he would do better in a home with no children.

Act quickly to adopt Buddy. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buddy, a West Warwick Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in West Warwick, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in West Warwick.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Warwick already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Warwick breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Warwick paves the way for another one to be saved.
