My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi- I'm NINA! I'm petite and just as cute as can be! I am spayed, up to date on shots, tested negative for both FIV and FeLv (feline leukemia) and I am treated for the prevention of ear mites, fleas and worms. I am also housetrained/litterbox trained and I enjoy being an indoor only kitty! I am (approx.) almost 1 yr old as of 8/2010.

I am listed as SPECIAL NEEDS because I have NO BACK LEGS. I get around find (it looks as if I'm gliding) on just my two front legs-- I have been this way nearly my whole life and it's not a problem at all! I'm just as happy go-lucky as can be. You see, what happened is that I was born in very filthy conditions and I was one of the few survivors from my family because of how horrible the conditions were where we were born. The bugs covered us and we had open wounds...well I don't want to get into too much detail, but basically the bugs took over my back legs before I was rescued. The vets agree that I'm healthy as can be- and I don't need any ongoing care for my back "leg" area-- but I just look a bit different than other cats- that's all. I do need to have a low litterbox that I can get in and out of and I need a home with no steps or very few steps. Otherwise I get around just fine! People tell me it's amazing- but I don't think it's any big deal-- I'm just so thankful to be healthy now and to have been rescued! Gosh, I'm a lucky little girl!

I do not care for dogs much-unless they are super calm. And if there are other cats in my adopted home- I prefer that they not be dominate cats (as I get scared when other cats chase me!). My foster home has 2 other cats and I do really well with them. I LOVE LOVE LOVE people-- and I sure can't wait to meet you! I'm just patiently waiting to find my furr-ever home now!

I am cute as can be and VERY LOVING! I love to be petted, sit on your lap, to chase the lazer light and I just love to be loved! My dream home would be:
-a calm household
-no dogs
-no children under age 5 (I do not like being chased)
-a VERY loving home that I can call my own furr-ever!
-a house with no steps or very few steps
