Scooter's Story...
Meet Scooter - a shorthaired, orange tabby who was born on May 13, 2010. Scooter is also known as “PAPA BEAR.” He has a very mild manner, and when new little ones come into the foster home, he takes them under his wing (or should we say paw) and looks after them. Scooter gets along well with people, as well as the other animals in the foster home. Nothing much seems to excite this big boy, but when his foster mom says good morning to all of her fosters, he is one of the first to jump on the bed and let her know it is breakfast time! Scooter has a microchip, is litter box trained, has been vet checked, neutered, vaccinated, dewormed and tested negative for FIV/Feluk. Call 507-451-4512 to meet Scooter in his foster home. His adoption fee is $100. (LP)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scooter, a Owatonna Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Owatonna, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Owatonna.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Owatonna already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Owatonna breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Owatonna paves the way for another one to be saved.
