My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"SHAMROCK"
Quaker Parrot
fostered by Denice & David of Tarpon Springs, FL

Shamrock is approximately 15 years old. He was a wild caught Quaker that was
hit by a car and nursed back to health. He was kept by his previous owners as a
pet for over eight years until they moved back to the state of Pennsylvania
where it is illegal to keep Quakers. The stress of the accident caused him to
pluck his feathers and the vet said it appears that he damaged his follicles
enough that his feathers most likely will not grow back, however, he no longer
plucks and is quite a happy little guy. Shamrock also has a little issue with
the top part of his beak, it is damaged and is not the best looking beak around,
but the vet said it does not cause him any pain and he eats just fine. He is
somewhat weak in the feet, but as you can see, he perches well and he is very
easy to care for. He is very cage dominate, however once out of his cage, he is
very sweet and understands the “Step-Up” command. He will make a great addition
to your family!
Adoption Fee $50 with cage $100
