SAMMY is a 14-month old male Corgi/JRT mix who was taken into Corgi Rescue from the Progressive Animal Welfare Society in Middletown, OH. Sammy was in the Prison system where he received basic obedience training and learned commands. He is current on vaccinations, rabies, and is neutered. Sammy has a very loving disposition, has a lot of energy, is housetrained and loves to give kisses and lay on your lap. When he came into rescue, I was wondering how he would get along with other dogs. Soon they were all playing together and running laps around the yard. He is non-aggressive towards other dogs or his food, is always smiling and is a very happy dog. A fenced yard is a must for Sammy. Wherever you are, Sammy will always be along side and close to you. Sammy would sure like an adoptive home before Easter so that he can help you hunt and "EAT" Easter Eggs. Sammy's adoption donation is $250.00. For further information about Sammy, please e-mail or call our toll free number at 866-887-5200. An adoption application is required and can be filled out on our Petfinder site.

About Corgi Rescue Services

About Our Rescue Group...

My husband and I started Corgi Rescue when we lived in the State of Washington. At the time, we only had one rescue and two Corgis of our own. In 2004, we moved to Ohio to be closer to family. After being in Ohio, we determined that there was a need for Corgi and Corgi mix rescue in this area. Over the last 18 months, we have adopted 70 dogs to loving, forever homes. We currently have six Corgis of our own which include Daisy and Buttons, puppymill girls who are each 10 years old, Chrissy, a blind and deaf Corgi, 10 years old, Mr. Hobbs, a Corgi puppy six months old, Dale who is six years old and Katie who is five years old and last our Corgi/lab, Logan who is going on 10 years old. We currently have ten rescues who we are trying to find loving homes for.

Come Meet Our Pets...

The ultimate mission of Corgi Rescue Services is to take into rescue owner turn-ins, neglected and abused animals, strays, shelter and pound animals. After thorough medical care (vaccines, rabies, heartworm checks, spaying/neutering and other medical treatment if required), socialization with other dogs, children and adults, and an opportunity to evaluate each animal, we hope to place each rescued animal into an approved forever, loving home where the animal will live with a family who adores him/her and will take upon themselves to provide for the animal the rest of his/her life. Before a dog can be released to an adoptive home, an Adoption Application must be completed and returned to Corgi Rescue Services. You can request an application by calling 866-887-5200 or by e-mailing Carol Brickner at In the future, should the adoptive family no longer be able to care for the dog that they adopted, said dog must be returned to Corgi Rescue Services as per the Adoption Contract.

Our Adoption Process...

Adopt A Pet
Adopting a pet takes a lot of consideration. You will be with this animal for the next ten years of its life or more. Questions to consider are: 1) Can you financially take care of the animal as to food, shelter, toys, and vet fees? 2) Are you willing to give this animal the love and attention that he/she so richly deserves? 3) Will you make sure that no abuse. injury, or other attacks are allowed to be done to your pet? 4) Will you continue to license, keep current on vaccinations and get required medical care if needed? 5) Will you take the time to socialize your pet with other dogs, cats, children and adults? 6) Will you make sure that your children learn how to respect an animal? If the answers to all of the above questions are YES, then you are ready to start looking for the dog of your choice and to complete the adoption application.
