My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

So how many homes does a beagle really need? You'd think just 1, right? Well, Cagney and Lacey have had 2 so far, and now at 7 and 9 years old, they are looking for a 3rd - preferably together, if possible!

Cagney and Lacey were surrendered to a vet's office and then a shelter back in 2006. Their family could no longer afford to keep them. CBR-East brought them into the rescue and found them a loving family. Funny how history repeats itself since after 4 years in a loving home, financial reasons are once again plaguing these sweet girls and their owners have returned them to CBR as they once again need to find a new home. It is not that Cagney and Lacey have had any medical or behavioral problems - their owners were struggling to provide even the basics of routine vet care for them. We think enough is enough for these great beagles who are now in boarding at Camp Bow Wow in Lacey, NJ. This dynamic duo just needs a home to love them and offer some stability and permanence.

Lacey is the younger beagle of this awesome pair! :) She is more active and mischievous, but can also be a little more fearful of things like storms. She'll follow you everywhere you go would love it if you tossed her a bone to chew on every now and then (or every day!). She may need a refresher with housetraining, but in she has the general idea! We would like to keep Cagney & Lacey together since they have never been apart, but we will consider splitting them if absolutely necessary. Please, we are looking for a true forever home for these great girls. They deserve it already! Please apply for this great pair!
