Sombra's Info...

Sombra's Story...
I’m Sombra, and I’m a 1.5 year old Chihuahua, weighing in at about 9 pounds.
I was surrendered to another shelter because my family moved to a place that did not allow dogs. That shelter transferred me to MaxFund because they could see I deserved a second chance at happiness. I don’t understand why I had to lose my family, but I am bravely looking forward to locating my wonderful new FOREVER family.

I seem to like everyone. It’s been reported that I’m good with children as well as adults.

We Chihuahuas are pretty low-maintenance in the grooming department. We’re compact, so we are well-qualified for condo or apartment life. We have a reputation for being very loyal one-person animals.

I’d love to meet you and see if we hit it off. So please come over and visit me soon!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sombra, a Denver Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Denver, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
