My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Duke is a 6 year old blue male with natural ears. He came to rescue when his family had to move and they couldn't find an apartment that would allow them to take Duke with him. After 5 days Duke has the settled in very nicely into his foster home. He is a big love bug that follows his foster Mom from room to room. He is definitely a people dog and hates to be away from you longer than it takes to go to the bathroom. He likes to go for walks and walks very well on the leash. He also LOVES to drink from the water hose. Needs a little work on the wait command as he will run you over to get in the house. He is also very vocal if you do not let him in right away or when his foster family leaves to go to work. He will bark at his foster family, just to let them know he is not happy with them. When Duke first moved to his foster family, he was not interested in the 9 year old girl at all. Since then he has warmed up to her. In his previous life he had been around children of all ages and was fine. He has been great with the Mastiff's and Dachshund's in his foster home. He pretty much just ignores them, with a sniff here and there, but that's it. He did growl once at one of the dogs when he was eating, but they have also eaten side by side with no problems. He does not like to share his toys. But he loves anything with a squeaker in it. We have not witnessed Duke with cats, but his previous home said he used to live with them and was fine with them. Duke is a drooler. He seems to be a happy dog, tail always wagging and ready to rub up against someone for attention.
