Lily's Story...
I am a little cutie by the name of Lily. An 8 week old German Shepherd mix with a whole life a head of me. I came here with my sister Tulip and my mom Squirt when we lost our owner. Now we are looking for homes of our very own. I am hoping to find a family devoted to raising and training me, and giving me lots and lots of love. I am a sweet and social little girl. I play well with other dogs, I am ok with kitty cats and I adore children. Believe me, I am gonna blossom into one wonderful pet! 8 weeks old-10lbs. My adoption fee is $225 and includes adoption supplies.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lily, a Portland German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Portland, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
