My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Update (4/10/06): Opal and Pearl are 6 month old bonded sisters who may be placed separately or together. If placed separately, they will do best in a home with another canine companion to help them over their initial separation.

Opal is more outgoing and playful, and quick to let you know when she hears unfamiliar sounds. Pearl is quieter and extremely gentle and loving, and would be happiest curled up next to you for some kind words and tender petting. These girls have done very well with children of all ages at adoption events and are small dog and cat-friendly.

This pair has lovely natural tails to always let you know how happy they are, and are spayed, fully vaccinated and microchipped. Wouldn’t you love to share your home with these wonderful girls?

(Age 14 weeks update): The smallest of the Gems at 27 lbs. and 14 weeks, Pearl should have been named Dora the Explorer! Pearl is energetic and inquisitive, and races, leaps and bounces everywhere she goes. Also clearly the brightest of the litter, Pearl would make an excellent agility dog. But sit down on the floor, and Pearl is immediately curled up in your lap. She may never understand that she is not a 10 lb. Yorkie! Pearl is fully paper-trained and crate trained, is learning to sit for a treat and walk on a leash. Pearl has her natural tail that cannot be docked.

Pearl is fully vaccinated and has been spayed for her inside-only adoptive home. Previous Rottweiler experience is a plus.
