STETSON's Story...
Meet Stetson, he is a beautiful boy, he is an English style labby boy with all the fantastic qualites and wonderful personality traits you would expect from a purebred Labrador. Stetson was found wandering the streets as a stray, his owners were informed but they did not bother to go and get him, which is good news for him as now he gets the chance at a fantastic home with lab rescuers.
Stetson has been very neglected in his old home. He has an untreated leg wound which the vet thinks is probably road rash from being hit by a car, he now has it treated and it will heal up nicely although it will look a little swollen, it does not cause him to limp at all. His coat is also a mess he is going to need some good baths and some grooming to get it back to its best. His old owners we feel did not do much with him and he needs to learn basic leash manners he does pull a little and tends to get under your feet, they did however teach him sit and shake which he does and just looks adorable. Apart from his bad start Stetson is just a sweetheart he is a total lover boy, he has a happy waggy tail personality and is just a joyous boy who will bring a lot of love and happiness into any home. Stetson is great with other dogs and loves all humans, he has not yet been cat tested, he also loves water and lying flat out in the paddly pool.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

STETSON, a San Diego Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
