Snickers's Story...
Snickers is a beautiful red miniature wirehaired female dachshund. She is approximately 1 1/2 years old and very shy. Snickers has had a difficult beginning to her life and socialization has come very late in her life. She is very shy and afraid of people. Snickers forever home will need to have lots of patience and willing to see small bits of progress over long periods of time. Snickers is great around other dogs of all sizes, and will follow them around everywhere they go. She is comfortable in a crate and is current on all her shots. We are still working on house-breaking issues. Her adoptions fee is $250.00

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Snickers, a Ft. Myers Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Ft. Myers, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Ft. Myers.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ft. Myers already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ft. Myers breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ft. Myers paves the way for another one to be saved.
