Blues Boy's Story...
I'm young, handsome, and oh so mellow. You'll love to hang out on the couch with me. Sorry about the drool. It's what big hound dog can't help doing. I'm a happy boy looking for a loving family or individual to adopt me. Here's my story: I was found living in a motel room, tied on short leash to kitchen table; I'd outgrown my harness, but my people hadn't noticed, so the harness was cutting into my fur. The manager of motel ordered the guests to get rid of me. My struggling family was about to take me to the pound. Luckily, the compassionate motel maid called the local animal rescue instead, and here I am waiting for a new home. I'm a lucky dog that I didnt get sent to the pound. Thanks, Blues

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Blues Boy, a Thatcher Black and Tan Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Black and Tan Coonhound for sale in Thatcher, or seeking a Black and Tan Coonhound dog from a breeder in Thatcher.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Thatcher already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Thatcher breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Black and Tan Coonhound breeders who help with Black and Tan Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Thatcher paves the way for another one to be saved.
