Emmett's Story...
An adorable Chihuahua looking for love!

Emmett's had a rough life. His luck recently seemed to turn around when he ended up in the home of a woman who adored him. Unfortunately, that woman became unable to care for Emmett because of her failing health. So Emmett is now at PAWS, looking for a quiet, adult-only home. Emmett is trained to eliminate on pads inside the home, and enjoys going for walks. What he enjoys most is spending time with people, so he'd prefer a new mom or dad who is home throughout most of the day. Emmett would be happiest living in a house, as opposed to an apartment or condominium. One look at this little cutey, and it's tough not to fall in love. It's estimated that Emmett is approximately 2 1/2 to 3 years old.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Emmett, a Norwalk Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Norwalk, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Norwalk.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Norwalk already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Norwalk breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Norwalk paves the way for another one to be saved.
