lily's Story...
Hello I am Lily and I am a border collie /Australian Shepherd mix about 2 years old. I am very shy so i need people who will have patience with me until I warm up. I am not agressive just afraid of people. I do not know what happen in my past to make me so afraid. I love to play with dogs and am unsure about cats. If you think you have the time and patience I would love to meet you and find me a forever home.
I am very loving once i come out of my shell; it took about 2-3 weeks with my foster family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

lily, a Overland Park Border Collie/Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Border Collie/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
