I am already spayed, housetrained, and in need of an experienced adopter.
Hi, I'm Dolce! And the little black bunny with me in the photo is my girlfriend, Sabrina. I am a really friendly and happy guy who had a hard start in my life. I came into the shelter with a whole bunch of my brothers and sisters. Fortunately some nice people rescued us and got me neutered and all fixed up and now I feel great!
My girlfriend, Sabrina, had a hard start in life, too. She was found as a stray baby bunny and taken to a shelter where she didn't get any real attention. It was scary there and she became very shy. She has gotten much more confident since she came into foster care and especially since she and I were bonded. I'm such an easy going guy, I help her to relax and have fun! We would still need someone who would be understanding of Sabrina's shyness and who would help her bloom. She is a wonderful bunny when she gets to know you!
We have been spayed and neutered and we are very good in our litter box. We love to do "construction work" on our cardboard boxes and Sabrina is very fond of toss toys like baby keys and cups. We are curious bunnies and would love a home where we had a little room to roam.
We have been in foster care for several years and we really long for a real, permanent, loving home. Are you the loving adopter we've been looking for?
And now here is some information from our fosterers, Huntsville Friends of Rabbits:
The adoption fee is $50 which helps defray the considerable costs of spay/neuter, other veterinary expenses, food, and equipment. All of our rabbits have received a full vet check up and are spayed/neutered. We adopt only to indoor homes, and prefer adult-only homes. We do not adopt rabbits as pets for children. We consider homes with older children, dogs or ferrets on a case-by-case basis.
If you are over 21 and have the time, energy, love and financial resources to care for a rabbit (not to mention a good sense of humor!) we would be happy to talk to you about adopting one of our fabulous foster bunnies! Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and tell us a little about yourself, including why you would like a bunny and your previous experience with rabbits (if any). Please include your phone number so we may call you about the adoption.
Please note we are a little picky – we love these bunnies and since they have already been through the shelter once we want to make sure they have a great home the second time around! We do screen applicants carefully, as well as require a home visit. We adopt only within a five hour drive of Huntsville, AL.
