Zay's Story...
COURTESY POST - - ABOUT ZAY - Zay is a 10 month old female. She is a Jack Russell/Rat Terrier mix. She’s black and white. She weighs about 10 pounds and pretty much full grown. She might gain another pound or two but I’m assuming that would be it. She was abandoned at our Animal Clinic. She hasn’t been spayed yet, but will be prior to adoption. I don’t think she was worked with very much with her previous owners. She’s been here for about 3 weeks now and ever since she hasn’t went to the bathroom in her cage. So I suppose she is house/crate trained. But in the past few days I’ve taught her to sit and the word “NO” and she has done very well. She seems to be a little hyper but I think as she gets older she might grow out of that. Plus shes been in our boarding facility for 3 weeks now as well. So when she gets to get out shes a little excited. She is not good with other dogs. If you are interested please contact Meagan Lobue via e-mail at starfeather19@aol.com or at 281 812 1355.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zay, a Houston Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier for sale in Houston, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier puppy from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
