Tommy's Story...
Can you believe someone left this dog outdoors and never reclaimed him from a city impound? Tommy is an absolutely ADORABLE Pomeranian who is so happy to be in a foster home where he can gets lots of love and lap time. He is about 3-4 years old and weighs a whopping 6.5 pounds, so he is much tinier than he looks with his beautiful black coat. Tommy is a happy, social little guy who likes to play with toys when he isn't snuggled up to foster mom. He gets along with respectful, gentle teen-aged kids, small dogs and he loves cats. In fact his first night in foster care he snuggled up to sleep with the cat (who is twice his size)! Tommy is house trained when taken out on a schedule like most toy dogs. For that reason, he cannot be home alone for a long work day. He does expect to sleep in bed with his human. Tommy is with a 501c3 non profit rescue. His $300 adoption fee covers his neuter, dental, heartworm test and pill, shots, worming, flea/tick prevention, professional grooming and HomeAgain microchip.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tommy, a Osseo Pomeranian dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pomeranian for sale in Osseo, or seeking a Pomeranian dog from a breeder in Osseo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Osseo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Osseo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pomeranian breeders who help with Pomeranian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Osseo paves the way for another one to be saved.
