Jake's Story...
I am a product of a divorce and no one wanted custody of me. I am still trying to figure out what I did to deserve that? Because, I want you to know, I lived peacefully with small children and cats and get along great with other dogs. I am housebroken, am very quiet and don't really bark at much, and don't chew on things that are not mine. I might be a little more cautious around men in general but warm up quickly once I know that you are my trusted friend. Won't you consider me for your family? (PLEASE NOTE: I can be adopted in the DC Metropolitan area only. There will be no exceptions to this policy.)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jake, a Aldie Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
