Rooney's Story...
I'm just a young lad, but I've been through quite a bit in my short life. See my owner died, but nobody even realized it until three weeks later. I stayed by my owner's side the whole time, waiting for someone to come find us. I was so grateful when they finally did come, but unfortunately I was carted away to the county pound. After not having any food or water for the last three weeks, I'm sure you can imagine what kind of shape I was in. I was mourning the loss of my dear friend, starving, and losing the only home I'd ever known. I'm doing much better now that I'm at FOHA, and I'm looking to fill the hearts of my new family. I'm a very devoted and loving boy, and I'll make a great companion. I'm already housetrained and I love riding in the car. Right now I prefer to eat alone, but once I get used to having regular meals again, I'm sure that will change. I hope you'll give this sweet boy a chance to join your family. (PLEASE NOTE: I can be adopted in the DC Metropolitan area only. There will be no exceptions to this policy.)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rooney, a Aldie Border Collie/Spaniel (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Spaniel (Unknown Type) for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Border Collie/Spaniel (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Spaniel (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Border Collie/Spaniel (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
