Skitch & Wilson's Story...
Hi, there! My name is Skitch, and this is my best buddy, Wilson. We both came to FOHA from the same county pound when our time ran out, and boy are we happy to still be alive. Wilson and I are not related, but we share a common past - we were both found as strays before being taken to the pound. It is hard to believe that our families never came looking for us, and it is even more shocking that no one adopted us. We are currently in foster care with other dogs and kids, and we are great with everyone. As you can see from our picture, Wilson and I are best friends and would make a wonderful pair, although we do not have to be adopted together. So if you are looking to adopt a great dog (or two!), remember to ask for Skitch and Wilson. We're in foster care, so please ask to meet us. (PLEASE NOTE: I can be adopted in the DC Metropolitan area only. There will be no exceptions to this policy.)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Skitch & Wilson, a Aldie Border Terrier/German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Terrier/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Border Terrier/German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Terrier/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Border Terrier/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
