Winston is a 3 month old male who has already had a rough start in life. We don't have much information on his background but we do know he was purchased by a family who had not done any research on English Bulldogs. He was forced to live on the back porch of his home because one of the family members would not allow a dog in the house. There Winston lived during the sweltering heat of our >90 degree summer. It's a miracle he survived at all! English Bulldogs are not heat tolerant and must be kept in an air conditioned location to protect their lives. Temperatures over 72 degrees can be fatal if the dog is out for more than a few minutes. DEFINITELY NO STRENOUS EXERCISE IN TEMPERATURES OVER 75.
Fortunately, one of our friends with Golden Retriever Rescue noticed Winston's plight and talked the family into surrendering the dog. He called GEBR.
More information will follow after he has been evaluated by our vet and temperment has been evaluated.
