Hidey's Story...
Hidey was born approximately 5/25/10. She was born at the Garibaldi Marina and faced a really poor future, she was considered a "rodent". Some employees at one of the fish places trapped her and put the poor thing in the trap in the back of a truck with a "free" sign on her. She's now 6 months old. Hidey was very feral as a baby. She is still nervous about being caught / picked up but, is easy to handle once confined, goes into a crate very willingly. She will approach you in a quiet sitting & enjoys being petted once she overcomes her initial fears. She is afraid of dogs & avoids them. She likes to find the “caves”. If you don’t see her look under blankets & furniture.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hidey, a Tillamook Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Tillamook, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Tillamook.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tillamook already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tillamook breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tillamook paves the way for another one to be saved.
