Monty's Story...
You can meet Monty and other little available dogs SF Chihuahua Meetup on Sunday October 3 between Noon and 2PM in Pine Lake Dog Park in Stern Grove. Monty is a sweet, sweet, sweet, quiet, polite little Pomeranian/Long Haired Chihuahua Mix who looks like a mini Belgian Tervuren. He is 1 yr old & weighs 9 lbs. He is an active, but calm, little dog who enjoys playing with toys other small dogs, and enjoys more curled up in your lap. He is smart, easy to train and has learned several commands. He rides well in the car, good on leash, and is crate and doggie-door trained. Monty would be happiest in a home with another small dog. Unknown around cats and children of any age.

Please see our other available dogs at A Leg Up Rescue such as Brandi or Oliver. A Leg Up Rescue must charge an adoption fee which is $200.

If you are interested in adopting, please complete our online adoption application, or please email aLegUprescue@me.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Monty, a petaluma Pomeranian/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pomeranian/Chihuahua for sale in petaluma, or seeking a Pomeranian/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in petaluma.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in petaluma already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a petaluma breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pomeranian/Chihuahua breeders who help with Pomeranian/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in petaluma paves the way for another one to be saved.
