I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.
Update May 30, 2006 - Lukas is a great guy that is having a blast with all the female pups in his new foster home. Lukas is house trained, crate trained, and is sweet to the cats and chinchillas he lives with. He loves to play, play, play and will retrieve tennis balls in the yard. He doesn't always bring them back though, sometimes turning fetch into a fun game of keep away. Once he had both tennis balls in his mouth running around the yard keeping them from the other dogs. He is gentle with the puppies and even let's them jump all over him! Lukas is always excited about going anywhere
that involves riding in the car. Just toss him a treat and he will catch it in his mouth!
Lukas is an exuberant, happy, affectionate, smart, good-lookin' boy,
eagerly looking for someone he can give his heart to! When his previous
owner found out this fellow was in a kill-shelter, that owner didn't even
know he'd been missing(!), and said he'd "get around" to picking Lukas up
- after several days, and repeated phone calls, he never even did! In
spite of such neglect, Lukas is delighted with everybody and everything
around him, this is probably why, even though he’s about four years old
now, nobody can believe he's more than two. He's a loving sweetie, who
likes to bury his head in your chest and get his ears rubbed and he'll
lie down quietly if you want to sit and read a book - on the other hand,
if you want to go for a walk, he's RIGHT THERE! And he's SMART! In his
first training session, he got "sit" nailed down, and is already pretty
darned good on "heel" (complete with sitting when you stop!), even past
amazing distractions like llamas and horses stepping over to peer at him.
His first reaction was to bark at them, but verbal reprimands were enough
for him to accept these must be part of his new "family". He's almost got
"down" added to his repertoire, and he can catch a treat tossed to him,
EVERY TIME, whether he is sitting, standing, or lying down! Lukas would
probably be perfectly content to be your personal couch potato, but with
all those brains, and that desire to please, he'd be even happier if you'd
be the one to teach this happy, handsome, grateful, quick learning fellow,
his next trick! Won't you please come meet him?
