Experienced German Shepherd Owners Need Only Apply
Rambo is approximately 18 months old. He is a Black and Tan gorgeous German Shepherd. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations, flea, tick and heartworm prevention.
Rambo was rescued out of the shelter where he was originally found as a stray. He has extreme kennel aggression directed towards people he does not trust. Rambo is extremely protective over his handler. Currently I am his handler and he takes commands and directions extremely well. However he does not like Men and will growl and lunge if I am not in the room. Therefore Rambo will only go home to an experienced German Shepherd Handler only. He will do very well in Schutzhund or trained as a Personal Protection K9. He is exceptionally intelligent and amazingly loyal. He is the type of German Shepherd that will lay his life on the line for you if you know how to handle him and gain his trust and respect. I believe this trust and love he has shown me can be transferred to a new owner/handler provided they are experienced in dealing with dominance/protective aggression.
Rambo is great with the other dogs however he does play rough so he would need an equal match. He loves to chase, run and wrestle with his foster brothers. Currently our Honey in Rescue is his best friend. Cats, I believe he will chase and may end up hurting them because of his high prey drive. luvgermansheps@yahoo.com All dogs in rescue are temperament tested and have basic obedience implemented as a part of their daily routine. All behavioral issues are dealt with according to each case scenario. All dogs prior to going home are up to date on all vaccinations, neutered and or spayed.
Adoption fees range from $100 - $450 depending on age, degree of personalized training, and if proof of bloodlines can be provided.
Application, home-check, and references must be approved prior to final adoption. Located in Middleburg, Florida.
