Raisin's Story...
Just out of puppyhood, Raisin is a playful boy with lots of energy and enthusiasm. He doesn't seem to know his own strength yet, so he can get a little good-naturedly rambunctious at times; but this is just his way of demonstrating how much he LOVES people. It's hard to walk by Raisin's kennel and not stop because the minute he sees you, his whole body seems to be pleading for you to come by and give him some love and attention. He does okay with other dogs right now; as he matures, his instinctive behavior toward other dogs will become more apparent.

Act quickly to adopt Raisin. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Raisin, a Berkeley Shar Pei/American Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shar Pei/American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a Shar Pei/American Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shar Pei/American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Shar Pei/American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
