Samantha's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Samantha's Story...
Well hey ya! I am Sam! Talk about adorable and original! I am my own
lady! I love everyone and everything. I came here with my sister
and we were raised properly and very loved and it shows. I know all my
manners, I am housebroke and crate trained. I will need a secure house and yard so that I can't get loose though, I am a girl with energy to burn. Children and other animals will be fine for me to live with, I am used to cats and dogs both.
I hope to find a loving family to continue my life with. I am a happy,
healthy girl just waiting for a new life. I weigh about 40 pounds and am a bit overweight, come on in and meet me and maybe I will share my age- you know a lady never tells her secrets! My adoption fee is $100 and includes; current shots, spay, 5 week Training Class, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Samantha, a Portland Basenji dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basenji for sale in Portland, or seeking a Basenji dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basenji breeders who help with Basenji rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
