Nevada's Story...
Hi, am I cute or am I CUTE! I am just a baby lookin' for love, and a family ready to raise a puppy. I am a smart little guy and teaching me things should be a piece of cake. You see my momma was an Australian Cattle Dog, also known as a 'Heeler' and my dad was probably a Labrador/ German Shepherd mix. So I got brains, brains, brains! Our mom was pretty small (as cattle dogs are), so we shouldn't grow to be very big dogs. Me and my brothers came here the the shelter to find new families of our own, we sure hope we don't have to wait long! 10 weeks old-10lbs. My adoption fee is $250 and includes adoption supplies.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nevada, a Portland Australian Cattle Dog/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog/Labrador Retriever for sale in Portland, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
