found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am purebred, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Gracie is a senior girl who has a long list of medical ailments. She has been diagnosed as high-positive for heartworm, she has fluid in her lungs, she has a lump on one of her breasts, she has an ulceration on one of her eyes, she has a hernia and has a mouth full of bad teeth :(
Sadly, because she is an older girl of at least 10 years old and is not a healthy dog, the 2 veternarians that Jean has taken her to see do not think that she would survive a surgery for anyone of her ailments. Both of the doctors recommended not pursuing any of the expensive surgeries that may end her life. They don't believe that she is suffering and suggested giving her a monthly heartworm preventative to try to help with the heartworm that she already has in lieu of putting her through a risky heartworm treatment that she would probably not survive. They also put her on a diuretic which they hope will help lessen the fluid in her lungs and allow her to breathe a little easier.
Gracie is such an extremely sweet and well-behaved little lady. She is very friendly with everyone that she meets and has plenty of affection for everyone. She is very mild mannered and spends most of her time climbing in her crate to take a nap. She is a very petite girl and only weighs about 20 pounds. She also does extremely well with other dogs and is even a very good girl with cats. She has received all of her necessary vaccinations as well.
